Verification standards

More than a CV check. A real-world fit check.

Other agencies stop at documents. We go further: every Fit2Sea candidate is assessed by a qualified psychologist, we confirm that the photo matches the person in front of us, and — when the yacht shares onboard data — we run a personality match against the existing crew. And if we don't have the right person for your role, we'll tell you straight. No filler shortlists.

  • Presentation & uniform fit confirmed to industry standard

Beyond verification

Psychological assessment & crew matching.

Verification confirms what's on paper. The next layer confirms how someone actually fits into a team under pressure.

Professional psychological assessment

Every registered candidate is evaluated by a qualified professional. The assessment focuses on pressure profile, communication style, conflict response, and onboard temperament — reviewed alongside the HOD interview.

It protects the crew member (joining a team they'll feel comfortable in) and protects the yacht (group compatibility, not just CV fit). Reports are shared in summary form, never raw, and always with consent.

Crew matching service (on request)

When a yacht requests it, we run a dedicated matching exercise — for a new crew build, a re-crew, or a single addition to an existing team. We profile the current group dynamic and shortlist candidates whose psychology fits in.

Available for new and existing crew. Always client-requested, never imposed.

An honest "no" when it's the right answer

If we don't have the right person for your role, we'll tell you. No filler shortlists, no padded CVs, no wasting your interview time. It's the part of the service most agencies skip — and the reason captains and HODs come back to us.

A note on what we check — and what we don't

Job-relevant standards. Always.

Verification covers job-relevant standards — identity, qualifications, experience, English level, and guest-facing professionalism (uniform, grooming, poise). It does not include profiling, medical assessment, or any check that wouldn't hold up in an employment context. We work to MLC-aligned principles and respect the same anti-discrimination standards expected by reputable yacht management companies.
